„Love is suspicious, love is needy, love is fearful, love is greedy” or why the second Futurama movie is even better than the first one juuni 26, 2008

Like wow guys, wow. There are just so many things I’d like to say right now. Most of it consists of empty blabbering on the topic of how utterly great the movie was. It’s entirely classic Futurama with that extra deepness and romance that we got to know in the previous movie. The main plotline is about love and guess who’s suffering once again. Yep, you’re right, it’s Fry, but this time it’s not because of Leela.

That said, I should also mention that The Beast with a Billion Backs is somewhat funnier in places than Bender’s Big Score but that doesn’t actually change its overall impression. It’s still a very sad movie and the puns seem to be there just for the people not to cry themselves to death. Imagine the best things you’ve ever seen. Now multiply it, say, a million times?

Thirdly, absolutely fantastic parts of the movie are the certain quotes that, well, apply for real life. I don’t want to be too JD’ish but worries I have in real life have got a quote for solving them in the movie. There is a subliminal, or wait, it isn’t that subliminal, moral. Perfect life isn’t perfect because humans need the “sleaze”, they need the downsides to love, to friendship, to life. It teaches us that we should like and love unselfishly and also the fact that most probably we won’t and that is a good thing, because this way we cherish the things we have more. As Bender says “There is no great love without great jealousy”
